MFA Member Diane Tuckman
Diane Tuckman is pleased to inform the public that MGM casino at the National Harbor, MD commissioned and purchased four of her 45″x45″ silk art pieces as part of their permanent art collection. They are in the process of being framed and will be on view at the casino when it has its grand opening on December 8, 2016.
MFA Member Janna Zuber
Janna currently has a solo show on display in the lobby of the Bowie Center for the Performing Arts (15200 Annapolis Rd Bowie, Md. 20715 ) for the month of October. The gallery hours are Monday – Friday, 10AM – 6PM. They do advise to call ahead to make sure that it is open 301-805-6880.
MFA Member Richard Paul Weiblinger
Richard had a few of his photos selected for Autumn Glory at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn (311 Kent Square Rd, Gaithersburg, MD 20878). The show runs from Sep 9th through Oct 31st.
Richard has his photographs selected for the 28th Annual Juried exhibition Home Again at the Montpleier Arts Center (9652 Muirkirk Rd, Laurel, MD 20708) which runs through October 30th.
Richards piece “Coaster” was recently selected for the show Oh Joy at the Athenaeum Gallery (201 Prince St, Alexandria, VA 22314). The show runs through November 6th.
MFA Member Mary Ellen Geissenhainer
Mary has had two pieces accepted into The Artist’s Eye – 6th Annual Fall Juried Show at Benfield Gallery (485 Jumpers Hole Rd, Severna Park, MD 21146). The exhibition runs from October 8th through the 29th with a reception on October 8th, 1:00-4:00PM.
Her painting, Making a Move on the Utz Girl, received an Award of Merit from juror David Lawton at Benfield Gallery’s Artist Eye exhibition. Congratulations Mary!

MFA Member Diane Blackwell
Diane Blackwell has been accepted into the Photo ’16 national exhibition at Multiple Exposures Gallery at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, VA. The juror, Sam Abell, National Geographic documentary photographer, selected 33 works for Photo ’16. These works will be on display from October 18 – November 17, 2016. The Awards and Opening Reception is Saturday, October 29, 2 – 4 PM.
MFA Member April M Rimpo
April has a solo exhibit called Contemporary Landscapes at the Columbia Art Center (6100 Foreland Garth, Columbia, MD 21045 ) from November 10th through December 4th. Come see her bold acrylics and watercolors as she explores places near and far.
Also, April will be teaching her one-day workshop “Art of Business for Artists” on November 13th, 10:00AM at the Columbia Art Center – Call to Register 410-730-0075.
MFA Member Warren Kornberg
An exhibit of Garrett Park Photographer Warren Kornberg’s work, selected images mostly in black and white, will be held from October 9th through October 28th at the Glenview Mansion Gallery (Rockville Civic Center Park, 603 Edmonston Drive, Rockville, Maryland 20851). Images have been selected and reprinted especially for this exhibit.
MFA Members Alex Tolstoy and Ron Colbroth
Alex and Ron have joined together for two two-person shows.
The first show is at Kristina’s Cafe (4418 MacArthur Blvd DC) which runs from August 26th through October 15th.
The second show is called Double Take at Crossroads Gallery in the Goodwin House (3440 S Jefferson St, Bailey’s Crossroads, VA 22041) which runs from September 1st through October 31st.
MFA Member Ric Conn
Ric has a show coming up at the Annapolis City Hall (160 Duke of Gloucester Street). The show will run from September 5th through October 25th.
MFA Member Jan Kirsh
Jan’s solo exhibit Ripe! Fruit and Vegetable Perspectives will feature a hand-picked sculpture selection that captures the breadth of Krish’s work and the freedom afforded by digital technology in the creation of scalable art in various shapes, sizes and materials. The show runs from Sept 10th through Oct 29th at the Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts (801 Chase St, Annapolis, MD 21401).
Several of her fruit and vegetable sculptures have been chosen for a yearlong public display for the Howard CountyArt Council’s ARTsites exhibition. From Aug 1st 2016 through July 31st 2017, her “Pear” will sit in the Howard County gov’s George Howard Building (3430 Court House Dr #100, Ellicott City, MD 21043) and “Patricias Carrots” will be displayed in front of the Howard County Tourism’s Welcome Center (8267 Main St, Ellicott City, MD 21043).
Image & Imagination: Anne Arundel County Juried Exhibition 2017
The Mitchell Gallery is pleased to present this juried, multi-media biennial exhibition of artists who live or work in Anne Arundel County. Works created in diverse media within the last two years will be on display and features both two-and three-dimensional artwork. Christopher With, educator (retired) National Gallery of Art and current president of The Washington Print Club, is the exhibition juror.
