MFA Member Ric Conn
Conn has an exhibition of his wild bird paintings at the Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts (801 Chase St, Annapolis, MD 21401) in the Martino Gallery. The show runs from Nov 2 through Dec 19 with a reception on Nov 9 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. He will be giving a painting demonstration at 5 p.m. right before the reception.
NEW: Two of Conn’s paintings, Mrs. Minotaur and Mrs. Minotaur the New Olympia were juried into the Nude Night show in Miami Florida. The show runs from Nov 9 through 11 at the C&L Warehouse (2400 NW 5th Ave. Miami, FL 33127
MFA Member Nan Thompson
Thompson has a solo show up at Paul’s Homewood Cafe in Annapolis, MD. The show features a host of the artist’s photography.
Photography is a natural expression of my passion for art and nature. Asian design is my greatest influence and I follow the philosophy of “less is more”.
The show runs from now through Dec 3 and the cafe is open daily for lunch and dinner (919 West St, Annapolis, MD 21401).
MFA Member Meredith Morris
Morris painting Miss Housekeeping was juried into ArtSpace Herndon’s 9th annual “Expressions Portrait Competition” (750 Center StreetHerndon, Virginia 20170). The show runs from Oct 3 through 28.
MFA Member Richard Weiblinger
Weiblinger has two pieces in the juried invitational show “Foodies” at the Photoworks Gallery. The show runs till Oct 22.
Weiblinger has four of his photographs selected for exhibition at the DelRay Artisans Gallery “Captured Beauty” until October 29, 2017

MFA Member Gil Ugiansky
Gil is a featured artist at The Byrne Gallery’s “All That Glitters” exhibition (7 W Washington St, Middleburg, VA 20117) which runs from Oct 4 through 29. Fourteen pieces of Gil’s sculpture are included along with the paintings of Gwyn Kohr. Gallery hours are Mon and Tue by appointment only, Wednesday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m.
MFA Member Sally Davies
Davies had her painting Romance (Central Park Lake, NYC) juried into the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society’s 38th Annual International Exhibition at the Adams County Arts Council, Gettysburg, PA which runs from Sep 11 through Oct 28.

Davies had two watercolor paintings, Blue Cat, Purple Shadow & Morning Rush Hour, selected for The 84th Annual International Exhibit of Fine Art in Miniature at the Strathmore Mansion (10701 Rockville Pike, North Bethesda, MD 20852) from Nov 19, through Jan 6, 2018. The opening reception is Nov 19, 2017.
MFA Member Jim Mackey
Mackey had a piece selected for “Naked in New Hope” at Sidetracks Art Gallery (2 Stockton Ave, New Hope, PA 18938). The show runs from now through Oct 28.
Mackey is being featured at the SHAPE Gallery in Shippensburg, PA (19 E King St, Shippensburg, PA 17257) for the gallery’s coming Show “Monsters and Creatures”. The show runs through Oct 28.
Mackey has two pieces in a photography show at the Engine Room Art Space (36 N Potomac St, Hagerstown, MD 21740).
MFA Member Richard Hall
Hall has a piece up in the 3rd National Juried Exhibition of the Oxford Arts Alliance (38 S 3rd St, Oxford, PA 19363) show “Canal Dreamscape”. The juror is Tom Padon, Director at the Brandywine River Museum of Art. The show runs from Oct 20 through Nov 10 with an awards ceremony and juror talk on Oct 22 beginning at 1 p.m.
MFA Member Alex Porter
Starting September 30th a group of Porter’s most recent works will be on display at the Popcorn Gallery at Glen Echo Park in a show titled “Land Lines”.
This exhibition consists of my drawings along with the work of Andy DiPietro and Katherine Nelson in an all black and white show!
“Land Lines” was curated by Jaimianne Amicucci of the James Renwick Alliance and presented by the Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture. The show will be up through Oct 22. Gallery Hours are Saturdays & Sundays, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
MFA Member Mary Ellen Geissenhainer
Geissenhainer will be exhibiting her colored pencil work on a variety of substrates in the Openshaw Gallery (3rd floor) of Maryland Hall (801 Chase St, Annapolis, MD 21401) in an exhibit titled “The Humble Colored Pencil”. The show runs from Oct 24 through Nov 27, with a reception on Nov 9.
Four of Geissenhainer’s pencil pieces are included in “There’s No Place Like Home”, an exhibition by members of the Metro-Washington District Chapter of the Colored Pencil Society of America. The show run from Oct 30 through Nov 25 at Gallery Underground (2100 Crystal Drive, Suite 2120-A, Arlington, VA 22202).
MFA Member Susan Hostetler
Hostetler has a solo exhibition now open at The Rachel M. Schlesinger Arts Center (4915 E Campus Dr, Alexandria, VA 22311) called “Shifting Migrations”. The show runs from Sep 22 through Mar 22, 2017.
MFA Member Wil Scott
Several of Scott’s piece, including Girl, Concentration, and Monk on the Beach, will be on display in the What’s Up Magazine offices (201 Defense Hwy #203, Annapolis, MD 21401) from Aug 10 through Nov 20, 2017.
Scott’s pieces Red Nude and After the Storm have been selected for “Captured Beauty” at the Del Ray Artisans and Union 209 Studio (2704 Mt Vernon Ave, Alexandria, VA 22301). The show runs from Oct 6 – 29.
And his piece TJ’s Lunch Counter was selected for the National Juried (all media) Art Show at Larkin Arts (61 Court Square, Harrisonburg, VA 22801). The show runs from Oct 6 – 28.
Scott’s piece Red Nude was accepted into the 4th Open Call Exhibition at the Providence Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts. The show runs from Oct 12 – Nov 3.

MFA Member Anne Sieling
Sieling has had a picture selected for “Shades of Pastel – 2017” at The Glenview Mansion Art Gallery, Rockville, MD which runs from Oct 15 through Nov 17.
MFA Member Andree Tullier
Tullier’s piece Pink Toe Shoes was juried into Maryland Pastel Society’s national exhibit “Shades of Pastel: 2017”, by Desmond O’Hagan. The exhibit is open from Oct 15 through Nov 17 at the Glenview Mansion Art Gallery in MD (603 Edmonston Dr, Rockville, MD 20851). Mr. O’Hagan will give a demonstration Oct 15 at noon with the reception and awards following from 1:30-3:30.
Tullier was awarded First Place for her painting Old Charm (oil, 16×12) in the Art League of Ocean City’s plein air painting competition. She also received an Honorable Mention in the Quick Draw. Congrats, Andree!
MFA Member April Rimpo
Rimpo’s painting The Bakery was selected by Juror Jeanne Dobie for The Pennsylvania Watercolor Society’s 38th Annual International Juried Exhibition. The exhibit is on display at The Adams County Arts Council (125 South Washington Street, Gettysburg, PA 17325) from Sep 11 through Oct 28, 2017.
UPDATE: Rimpo’s painting The Bakery received an Honorable Mention award in The Pennsylvania Watercolor Society’s 38th Annual International Juried Exhibition.
Rimpo’s painting Movement III will be on exhibit as part of the International Society of Experimental Artists’ International Exhibition on Sanibel Island, Florida during October and November 2017.
Rimpo also has a plein air painting, Lakeside, in the exhibition “Color Columbia” at the Columbia Art Center (6100 Foreland Garth, Columbia, MD 21045). The paint-out and exhibit are part of Columbia’s 50th Anniversary Celebrations.
