MFA Member April Rimpo
Rimpo had two paintings from her series “How are you feeling?” selected to be apart of the juried 311 Gallery’s 2019 ABSTRACTS MATTER National Exhibition. The exhibit is from Feb 28 – Mar 30 with an opening reception on March 1.
Rimpo’s “Fishing Day” was also submitted by juror Andy Evansen over 477 paintings to be featured in Watercolor Art Society Houston’s 42nd Annual International Watermedia Exhibition. The opening reception and award ceremony will take place on March 3 and The exhibit will be from March 3 – April 4.
Rimpo’s painting “Race” is to be held in Georgia’s Watercolor Society 2019 National Exhibition at the Bowen Center. “Race” was selected out of 355 entries by Paul Jackson. The opening reception will be held on March 9 and the exhibit runs from March 9 – April 26.
MFA Member Megan Burak
Burak has a show coming up at the Art League of Ocean City in Ocean City, MD this Feb. The show is titled, “Identity: Depths of Self” and features paintings by her (Megan Burak) and another artist Halie Torris. The opening reception is this Friday, Feb. 1 from 5-7pm and the show runs through Feb. 23.
MFA Member Richard Hall
Hall is included in the 12th annual juried show organized by “A Novel Experience” in Zebulon, GA, called 2019 Dog and Pony Show. “A Novel Experience” is a bookstore in Pike County GA, the home of the Slow Exposures photography festival. The juror is Ray Sullivan, author-photographer and Emmy winner. The show runs Feb 2 – Mar 2.
Hall is also in the 2019 Juried Art Show – Discovering the Native Landscapes of Maryland’s Eastern Shore. This is an annual event at the Adkins Arboretum near Ridgely, MD. The juror was Julie Wills on the faculty of Washington College, MD. The show runs Feb 5 – Mar 29. Reception is Saturday, Feb 16 3-5pm. For more information, click here.
MFA Member Lee Goodwin
Goodwin’s photograph “Annapolis Harbor, October Morning” will be included in the Maryland Federation of Art’s “Lowe House Exhibition 2019”, which will be on display in the Maryland House of Delegates’ Lowe House Office Building in Annapolis during the House of Delegates’ 2019 legislative session. While you are there, you can check out Goodwin’s other photos that are on permanent display in the Lowe Building, in the Environment and Transportation Committee Hearing Room, and the offices of the Appropriations Committee. Jan 16 – April 13.
Goodwin’s photograph “National Harbor, September Evening” (above) will be included in the Maryland Federation of Art’s “Focal Point” exhibit at the Circle Gallery on State Circle in Annapolis. Jan 24 – Feb 23.

MFA Member Ric Conn
A juried exhibition, Perturbation, Conn has his work “I Don’t Matter” accepted into. Event Dates: 2/4/19 – 3/1/19 Opening Reception: Feb 4 from 4-7pm. This event is at 2300 S. Washington Street Campus Art Gallery Kokomo, IN 46904-9003.
MFA Member Sally Davies
Davies paintings “Point of View: Paintings by Sally Davies” are at the Heritage Center Gallery at the Pyramid Atlantic Arts Center, Hyattsville (across from Franklin’s Restaurant). The exhibit is up currently and will be on display till the end of Feb 2019.

MFA Member Gayle Mangan Kassal
The BWI art gallery features works by artists from around the region; Maryland First Lady Yumi Hogan chaired the jury panel that selected the various artworks. Kassal’s piece “River Dance” was selected! This pastel painting which is 39″ x 89”, was enlarged to 8 feet square. Located in Gallery D, between the D and E terminals, it is behind security. It is now up and will be hanging from July until December, then again on a rotating schedule with other works.
MFA Member Richard Paul Weiblinger
Weiblinger is pleased to announce that fourteen of his photographs are included in an invitational exhibition at VOLT extended through Mar. 2019.
Weiblinger was also juried into Hill Center Galleries Juried Exhibition. Juror for this exhibition was Caitlin Berry, Fine Arts Dealer and Associate Director at Hemphill Fine Arts in Washington, DC who made her selection from over 600 submitted pieces from 130 artist. Exhibition Dates are Jan 10 through Mar 3. Opening reception with the Juror on Jan 16 from 6:30 – 8:30 PM. For more information, click here.
Weilblinger’s “Seeking Prince George’s” 2019 juried exhibition is to be held at the Lowe House office building in Annapolis, MD Jan, 7 – April 8.
MFA Member Christopher Fowler
Fowler’s piece “Without Flash” was accepted in the show “Use Other Door” which is being held at CORE Contemporary, 900 E Karen Avenue, Suite D222, in Las Vegas, NV. Reception Jan 11 6:00-8:00 PM; the show closes Mar 16.
