Thoughtful Thursdays are powered by your favorite MFA Interns, so if you’d like to see more of them, leave a comment, email us, or even give us a call!

Every Tuesday and Thursday at 1:00 sharp I put on my coat and begin my voyage down main street. I can hear my belly grumbling through all my layers as the cold air pushes against my cheeks, and the hesitation grows. But I ignore it.

Taking the time to walk outside, no matter the weather, is the best part of my day. Seeing where I grew up and where everyone is a friendly neighbor brings any downhill day right back up. Though downtown is not always the apple of my eye sometimes a piece of artwork comes in that simply inspires me to get up and go on a walk.

I can close my eyes and see the vibrant sunrise painted with sunshine yellow and rusted orange. Each building wall patterned with sparkles of burgundy drizzled over the  bricks. As I walk down main street, the art comes alive right before my eyes.

This thoughtful Thursday is dedicated to the artists who bring out the beauty in our home.

I’ll probably become entranced by a new thing next week, so keep an eye out for the next Thoughtful Thursday! In the spirit of the holidays, donate to me and my fellow interns to help support us and MFA! Click here to learn more!
