Call for Entries

The Delaplaine Arts Center, 40 South Carroll St, Frederick, Maryland, announces the 2020 National Juried Exhibition. All media are eligible, including but not limited to: painting, printmaking, photography, ceramics, drawing, installation, and sculpture. Size limitation: For 2D works- 72” in any one direction.

Exhibition dates: May 2 – June 14, 2020

Fee: $35 per artist for up to three (3) images ($25 if artist is a current member of the Delaplaine).

Deadline for entries: Monday, March 23, 2020 by 11:59 PM.

Halcyon House calls for artists working in all mediums and art forms to submit proposals for performances or large scale artworks to be included in By the People June 12-28, 2020 in Washington, DC.

By the People is a free, city-wide international arts and dialogue festival presented by Halcyon, which supports innovative emerging creatives through fellowships in art and social entrepreneurship. Artwork at BTP 2020 will examine how culture is the single driving force in our major societal systems.

Artists working in any discipline who can commit to creating and exhibiting work during June 2020 (key dates listed below). Applications can be submitted by single artists or artist collectives that meet the following criteria:

  • Have demonstrated experience developing and executing works or projects, especially in public spaces.
  • Artists must be over 21 years of age, and are eligible to work in the United States. International applicants are welcome to apply!

Mills Pond Gallery invites artists to submit works for a juried drawing exhibition. The exhibition is open to drawing in any medium. All subjects, styles and genres are welcome. No prints, watercolors, photos or scanned digital photography manipulated with an app.  Entry Fee: $45/3 images

Biblio Spectaculum is hosting A national juried exhibition of artist books and text-based visual works. Submissions must be visual in nature. Written text passages must be part of an artist book, painting, photograph, drawing, print, collage, sculpture, or other visual art form. Submissions may be text art, concrete/visual poetry, any of the above mentioned disciplines, or a combination thereof. Submissions may or may not contain text or type and this exhibition is open to all U.S. residents at least 18 years of age.

Entry Fee

$30 for entry of up to 3 submissions

$35 for entry of 4 to 6 submissions

The Baltimore County Arts Guild is seeking artists to take part in the 2-day juried Arts & Drafts Festival. This inaugural event will be held June 13 and 14, 2020 on the grounds of the historic Guinness Open Gate Brewery in Halethorpe, Maryland. 100 Artist booths are available for this event which will attract 10,000 visitors over the course of the weekend. The event includes regional music, art demonstrations, VIP events, free shuttles from the Halethorpe MARC and Amtrak station and much more. The event launches with a reveal of the special beer brewed by Guinness for this Arts & Drafts event.

East County Art Association is proud to announce their partnerships with Marriott Courtyard Hotel of El Cajon for their 2nd year Annual Art Expo. Artwork is needed to showcase a one day art expo at the Marriott Courtyard Hotel. Marriott Courtyard Hotel of El Cajon encourages entries from all artists regardless of their experience, or education, in the art field. This is an international competition and is open to all artists and all types of 2-D media are accepted.

There is a $20 entry fee per image but there is no limit.

mall 2D & 3D women artists regardless of where they reside and regardless of their experience or education in the art field. A group exhibition of the top ten finalists will be held online at the Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery during the month of January 2020. Awards will be for the top 10 places. 

The 2020 event will be the 36th year for this event and we are looking forward to another weekend of great art!
The show will open with the always fun Preview Party on Friday, May 15th.  On Saturday the 16th, at the close of the day, there will be music and a buffet dinner available for artists, guests, volunteers, and others from the community to enjoy.  The final day of the show will be Sunday the 17th.  There will be artist discussions and demos and also activities geared for younger artists throughout the weekend too.

“Reflections” can mean the throwing back of the light, sound or images by a body or surface, an image you see when you look in a mirror, an image given back by a reflecting surface. It can also be interpreted as careful thought about something or a thought occurring in consideration or meditation.  Artists are free to interpret “reflections” with either or both of these meanings.

GALLERY & ON-LINE GALLERY: There are two opportunities to get into this show. The juror will select works that will be exhibited in the Arc Gallery at 1246 Folsom Street and works that will be included only on the Arc On-line Gallery.

CATALOG: All artwork selected will be included in the exhibition catalog. Catalogs will be available for order at the time of notification.

ELIGIBILITY: Artists residing in the United States.

Artist Residency

Maryland Hall accepts applications for our One Year AIR Residencey on an ongoing basis. Rent is $300 for  Studio Space.  All residencies are currently full, however, we recommend that you apply to be put on a waiting list for the next jury process.

Exhibitions Call to Artists

Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts is seeking ongoing exhibition submissions from both local and regional artists for our three gallery spaces. We invite both student and professional artists to apply.

Dedicated to Art for All, Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts is the community’s arts center, providing lifelong, accessible engagement in the arts.

Maryland Hall’s goal is to present exhibits that engage audiences on many levels, from community exhibits to curated group and solo exhibits in several galleries: the Chaney Gallery, the Martino Gallery and the Openshaw Balcony Gallery. The gallery season features emerging and established artists in all media, from more accessible, traditional work, to work that questions contemporary culture, methods and ideas. The galleries are open to the public for viewing, artists’ receptions, and sales.
