Elaine Weiner – Reed
Elaine Weiner-Reed was one of 15 West Chester University (PA) Alumni to be invited to exhibit in this tribute to over five decades of creativity and excellence in art education at WCU’s Mitchell Hall. Featured in the exhibit were two of her paintings “Figments of Her Imagination” and “Spectral Voices” and her sculpture “Resurrection.”

Elaine’s painting “This Seat is Taken” (Acrylic; 60H x 38W inches) is currently on exhibit in Columbia (along with her sculpture “Rise Up” ((Image Attached)) through the end of March 2020. With the reception over, you should have all the social space you need as you visit this rich exhibition at the Columbia Art Center.
The show runs through March 2020

Elaine Weiner-Reed has three paintings featured in this small group invitational exhibition: “The Waiting Game,” “Challenge Accepted,” “Heart and Soul”

Sally Davies
“Vantage Point: Paintings by Sally Davies” is a solo exhibit at Maryland Hall in Annapolis, and will be on display from February 20 through May 23.
This is a large exhibit of 50 paintings, and many feature the ballet. Inspired by Degas, Davies sat in on the Ballet Theater of Maryland rehearsals at Maryland Hall to sketch the dancers on stage and behind the scenes. Her goal was to explore how shapes, pattern, and color influences the perception of movement and time.
An Artist’s Opening Reception for “Vantage Points” will be held on Thursday, March 19, from 5:30 – 7:30 pm at Maryland Hall, Annapolis. It is free and open to the public.

Sally Davies’ canvas painting, “Big Cat” was juried into the Laurel Art Guild Annual Open Exhibit, on display at Montpelier Arts Center, Laurel, from March 7-29. The Juror was Abigail McBride, and the Opening Reception is Sunday, March 8, 2-4 pm. On display at Montpelier Arts Center, Laurel, from March 7-29. April Rimpo
Rimpo is featured in an invitational exhibition of women’s art about women as part of Women’s Month at the Columbia Art Center. The exhibit runs from Mar 8 – 28, 2020, opening reception on March 8 from 2-4 PM.

Rimpo is also featured in, the 51st Laurel Art Guild Open Exhibition, An annual exhibition held at Montpelier Art Center is juried work of artists from Maryland, Virginia, DC, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Delaware or New Jersey. This years juror was Abigail McBride, a colorist from the Cape School. Exhibit: March 7 – 29, 2020 Opening and Awards Ceremony: March 8 from 2-4PM

The LWS International Exhibition includes original water-based media on paper. The 2020 juror is Z.L. Feng who selected 75 paintings for this exhibition. It’s held at Place St. Charles 201 St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana. Held May 2 – 22, 2020 with the Award Reception on May 9, 2020.

Richard Niewerth
Brooke Jana
Jana has a solo show running through March 31st, 2020 at the Eastern Monroe Public Library, Stroudsburg, PA.
“Broken Peace Pipeline” calls attention to the environmental hazards of the Dakota pipeline and the protests at Standing Rock. The black snake of ‘oil’, mirroring the related section of the Missouri River, includes the toxins contained in the oil and the species which would be affected by a pipeline break according to an environmental study commissioned by the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. The peace pipe highlights the importance of water and verbatim text from the Fort Laramie treaties reminds us of the violated agreements between the United States government and Native American tribes.”

Richard Paul Weiblinger
The Washington DC Hill Center Galleries chose Myrtis Bedolla, the owner of Galerie Myrtis, Baltimore, MD as the juror for their exhibition. The juror selected 94 pieces from nearly 700 submissions for the exhibition. Two of Weiblinger’s pieces “Pilings Green Focus” and “Log on Falls” were selected for inclusion in the exhibition. On exhibition until April 18, 2020


David Harris
Harris received honorable mention in the 2020 Hill Center Regional art show. Juried by Myrtis Bedolla of Galerie Myrtis, This exhibition features the work of over 80 artists from DC, Virginia, and Maryland. Exhibition dates are February 5 – April 18, 2020. The opening reception date is Wednesday, February 5, 2020.
Rebecca Carpenter
Carter has a solo show at the Fredrick Community College in Fredrick, MD all through April.
Richard Paul Weiblinger
Weiblinger is currently exhibiting in, “Building Bridges: Connecting our Global Roots”, is on exhibit through March 30, 2020, where Weiblinger’s pieces “Crystal on Bridge’ and “Ocean Bridge” was selected for inclusion into “Building bridges” sponsored by the City of Gaithersburg, MD.


Susan Fine
Susan is currently exhibiting her art at the Gibson Island Art Gallery on Gibson through March 6th.

J. Li
Li is featured in the upcoming 2-artist exhibition, located at Ormond Memorial Art Museum. This exhibition runs through February 28- Apr 10, 2020, Ormond Memorial Art Museum.

Patrick Sieg
Patrick Sieg won first prize for oil or acrylic painting in the Rockville Art League Juried Winter Show. The show runs through February 21, 2020. On view at Rockville’s a Glenview Mansion.

Roslyn Racanello
Racanello was accepted at the Annmarie Gallery, where the juror, Camy Clough, from the National Museum of American History, selected more than 90 works by 70 artists to be a part of this moving and wide-ranged exhibition.

Andy Wohl
Wohl was selected to be on display in “The District” Exhibition at Art Enables in Washington DC. This Exhibition will run through March 16th through May 2nd. The show features art in all media that explore the sights of DC.

Paul Tambellini
“CityScapes” Art Exhibition February 2020 LightSpaceTime.Art, This event was an international juried online gallery exhibition. The gallery received 522 submissions from 22 different countries from around the world as well as 24 different states and the District of Columbia. Tambellini was awarded Special Merit Award in Painting & Other categories. The results are posted here.

MFA Wil Scott
Myrtis Bedolla, the owner of Galerie Myrtis in Baltimore, selected 94 works in many media from nearly 700 submissions. The show runs at the Hill Center until April 18. I was fortunate to have “Phantoms” included in the selections. Opening reception 6:30-8:30, Feb. 5. The exhibition closes on April 18.

MFA Chris Fowler
Chris Fowler’s piece “NMAAHC” was accepted into the 2020 Regional Juried Exhibition at the Hill Center Galleries, 921 Pennsylvania Ave, SE, in Washington, DC. The show runs from February 5 through April 18th. The reception is Wednesday, February 5th from 6:30-8:30 PM.

MFA Jim Mackey
Group Invitational Show at Garage Studios, Invitational with selections of Artist Collaboration. January 31st,2020 – February 29th, 2020. Garage Studios is a great store/gallery leaning toward Outsider Art. The Show opened in conjunction with Franklin County Ice Fest.

“Sunset Metal Glow” was juried into the UMUC Exhibition Lower Level at the 4th BMRE Biennial art Exhibition presented by the University of Maryland, this exhibition is on March 15, 2020

MFA April Rimpo
41st Georgia Watercolor Society’s National Exhibition, was Juried this year by Linda Baker, who had the difficult job of jurying 320 submissions to select the works included in this year’s show. Exhibition: March 14 – April 26.

MFA April Rimpo
Rimpo is featured in the Missouri Watercolor Society’s 2020 International Exhibition. This exhibition of paintings by 169 watercolor artists from around the globe is hosted at The Barcelona Academy Museum and Art and The European Museum of Contemporary Art (MEAM) in Barcelona, Spain. The juror of selection was Thomas W. Schaller. A four-person panel with judge awards. April 24 – May 30, 2020 with the opening reception and awards ceremony on April 24.
