CALL FOR ENTRIES

WCA DC – BLACK AND WHITE

Deadline: July 31, 2021

Medium: All

Painting in black and white makes you concentrate on elements such as composition, value, lighting, and form. Of course, color is a vital step, but the benefit of black and white is that you can focus on the image. Black and white thinking is the tendency to think in extremes. Black and white thinking is a pretty accurate title for what it means – to see things as black and white. In other words, to always see the world, people, and situations through a tiny lens that only shows two points of extremity. Basically, there is no grey area. Show us how your work focuses on composition devoid of color, imagery that shows 2 points of view, or the extreme opposition in black and white.

This is a juried exhibition open only to members of the Greater Washington, DC chapter of the Women’s Caucus for Art. Non-members may qualify by joining the WCA DC before the application deadline.
