Each painting brings a new opportunity for growth and learning. Interpreting the mystique of the landscape on canvas is an exciting and wonderful challenge.

Lissa cites herself as tending to be a representational painter and focuses on the human figure and the landscape. She primarily paints, en plein air (outdoors), in Baltimore City, throughout Maryland’s beautiful countryside, the coast, and at many other captivating locations across the country and beyond.

Oil paints are my preferred medium.  I use a combination of palette knife and brushwork that enables me to create texture and depth in my paintings.
