Seventy-eight public painters participated in Paint Annapolis 2021. Their artwork is now covering the walls of the Paint Annapolis Pop-Up Gallery at 4 Church Circle. The awards were judged by Annapolis' Mayor, Gavin Buckley, the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association juror, Bruno Baran, and the Annapolis Gallery Association jurors. Congratulations to the Public Artist Awards winners!

Alison is a Plein air painter who has recently settled in southern Maryland. As a part of a Navy family, she moved around the country many times throughout her life and has been inspired by the different terrains, lights, and architecture she was encountered at each new place.
David Diaz is a Plein air painting who works in oil and pastels and currently lives in Annapolis, MD. He received his undergraduate degree at Frostburg State University as well as formal training at the University of Maryland, Towson University, and Catholic University.
Today, Maryland celebrates its formal founding as a colony in the 1600s. From the bay to the mountains, this is a beautiful state that MFA gets to call home, and to celebrate, we're showing off some Maryland-based artists that you should really know about.
