Hamilton Arts Collective – Guest Artist Exhibition

The Hamilton Arts Collective (HAC) and the Hamilton Gallery seek applications from artists for month-long Guest Artist exhibitions at Hamilton Gallery located at 5502 Harford Road, Baltimore, MD. The selected guest artists will be invited to exhibit a selection of their current work in Gallery I of the Hamilton Gallery. The Guest Artist exhibition is featured in Hamilton Gallery communications and will be promoted by the HAC and Hamilton Gallery. Artists may submit their own work in order to be considered for a solo exhibition or inclusion in a group exhibition. Curators may submit proposals for solo or group exhibitions. Proposals are reviewed by DCAC’s Visual Arts Committee on quarterly basis. Once your proposal is received, our gallery manager may reach out to you to schedule a studio visit or meeting with members of the Visual Arts Committee. Entry fee.

Maryland Hall – AIR Programs

Maryland Hall offers two Artist in Residence programs.

The Openshaw Artist-In-Residence (AIR) program provides accessible space to up-and-coming artists in the local community while also educating the public in the process of the creation of art through a diversity of forms. Artists are given the opportunity to create a collection of work to exhibit in the Openshaw Balcony Gallery at the end of their residency while also curating the exhibit.

Maryland Hall Artists-in-Residence (AIR) and Visiting Artists Program provides a supportive atmosphere for professional artists in a diversity of art forms within a collective art setting. The program provides an opportunity to educate the public in the process of creating art.

National Park Service – Artist Residencies

Whether staying in a remote wilderness cabin at Denali National Park and Preserve in Alaska or contemplating history at Herbert Hoover National Historic Site in Iowa or working in a contemporary studio overlooking the stone-lined fields at Weir Farm National Historic Site in Connecticut, these programs provide artists with unique opportunities to create works of art in varied natural and cultural settings….There are programs for visual artists, writers, musicians, and other creative media. Programs vary, but residencies are typically 2 to 4 weeks in length and most include lodging. Often artists are invited to participate in park programs by sharing their art with the public.
